I have pix. I do. I just can’t seem to muster up the energy to post them just now. It’s nothing major, just a general kind of tired. Will get back to this and the geek chic stuff in a day or two.

Eons ago I made it through about 500 of the (then) required 1600 hours for cosmetology school. When I started the school, I wanted to cut and style hair. What i didn’t reckon on was having to learn how to wax men’s back hair, give pedis to old bitties with inch-thick yellow toenails, and an instructor who hated me because I was good friends with his ex-boyfriend. Anyway, I ended up quitting. But I learned some stuff.

Shannon has a big performance with her bellydance troupe at the anual Ethnic Festival downtown. My friend Tonya sent me the link to this extremely cool chick’s youtube vids, and voila! Shannon’s eyes rawk.

Another clock of mine. Part of the Hobby Lobby spree – A beautiful clock that doubles as a jewelry box. I got it for FIVE DOLLARS. FIVE FREAKING DOLLARS!!! I still can’t get over it. Hobby Lobby rules.

Took a wee break. Am back now. My little bellydancer had a show tonight, performing for some folks at a retirement home. So I tore her away from her contraband Dairy Queen (it was very hot) and had her show me her moves

This is the last one I have, I promise but I did say I’m sort of addicted to these things.

This knickknacky thing probably came from some tourist trap on Cannery Row. It was my Mom’s and I don’t care how tacky it might be, I love it Reminds me of Mom and Monterey. So a double duty memory thing

The other Harrod’s bear. This one has been sitting on my various desks at work since I came back from Engerland. He’s kind of lucky.

My grandparents periodically buy new recliners and I usually end up with the old ones. I never turn down free furniture and I’ve been needing a new comfy chair anyway This one was my Grampa’s. I don’t think I’d ever pick out such a wacky fabric design, but again, free.

Shannon went for her first-ever manicure today and came back with these. I kinda think it’s adorable.
